A Message from the President and Founder:

Thanks for visiting our website. Our goal is for it to be informational on the various destinations, to provide a handy reference for current conditions (ski, road, weather, and river), and to get folks excited about activities in the mountains. We hope you visit it often and invite your friends and group members!

Mountain Escapes was founded 25 years ago based upon a love of the mountains and skiing, coupled with my background in the resort and ski industry.  It has grown to encompass additional resort and transportation options but has never strayed from the mountain destinations that we enjoy and the dedication to serve our clients and make sure their trips are a success.

Over the years I've seen many changes in the resort industry and in service across our culture in general. Quality service is a thing that has been lost to a great extent in this age of the internet and voice mail systems. It doesn't seem like many companies want to spend time with their clients anymore.

We believe in old-fashioned customer service, in being available for and talking to people, in prompt attention to questions and requests, and in delivering what we promise. We don't want to just sell you a trip, we want to help make sure it's a quality trip and the group wants to return in the future. We value long term relationships with our clients and many have worked with us for 10-20 years.

Group trips require a lot of attention and service.  Getting the best value for your investment of time and money is about cost, but it's also about finding the best location for your particular trip needs, and then working with a company that will make sure all of the facets and details of the trip are taken care of.  If the trip isn't planned and executed well, then the other factors don't mean as much. There is a difference in the level of organization and service you'll receive when working with different companies, and who you work is as important as where you go. 

The reason Mountain Escapes provides all the extra organization, attention to detail, guidance, trip itineraries, local reps for ski groups, and on call service during your trip is to fulfill our dedication to be the best company service-wise and ensure your group gets a quality experience.  In addition, we want to try to make the trip as easy as possible for the group leader.
