RAFTING:

Colorado and New Mexico provide some of the best whitewater rafting in the country on famous rivers such as the Rio Grande, Colorado, Arkansas, Animas, North Platte and Gunnison. These rivers flow through spectacular canyons carved over millions of years.

Mountain Escapes can arrange trips of varying lengths from ½ day inexpensive trips to multi-day trips with camping on the river.

Rafting season begins in May and some rivers can be rafted through late summer. There are river sections available which can accommodate every experience level from families with young children to the most experienced rafters.

The rafting outfitters we work with have excellent safety records and have provided years of memorable group trips. Trips include an experienced guide in every raft, instruction for group members, and safety equipment. Excellent group rates are available from the outfitters.
