Best snow of the week and weather outlook: most of the Colorado resorts got big snow this past week. Several areas opened more steep terrain including the North Face Lift at Crested Butte and the Eagle Wind Chair at Winter Park. While many areas still don’t have everything open it will probably only take one more decent storm to get the rest of the terrain open. Up to a foot of new snow forecast for the Colorado Mountains
this weekend!
Trip Tip: at this point in the season, if less than 100% of a ski area aren’t open, what isn’t open is the steepest terrain which requires more snow. So, if you’re less than an expert skier or boarder all the terrain you’ll need is available so you shouldn’t be too concerned about less than all the terrain being open.
Leader Tip: a great example of Mountain Escapes’ service for groups happened Monday when one of our local service reps checked a house that he was told was ready for check-in. He found the house wasn’t clean and was able to get the lodging folks to get the unit clean prior to the group’s arrival. Since he pre-checked the lodging (as we normally do) the group avoiding waiting several hours for check in.
Deals of the Week: Still great values out there for the rest of ski season. If you haven’t planned a trip, it’s not too late to get in a winter vacation this season! Many ski areas stay open until Mid-April.
